The Clark County Executive Horse Council (CCEHC) sponsors many fine programs, and one of them is the Adopt-a-Horse Program. The CCEHC adoption program was created to accommodate local horses that are in dire need and have been relinquished to Clark County Animal Control. The program takes the horses from these situations and gives them the medical attention they need as well as the groundwork, socialization, and training they need to be adoptable. Once the horses are sound, the program works it’s hardest to find each and every horse their perfect owner to provide them with a second chance in a forever home.

Get Involved

There are many ways one can get involved in the program! We greatly appreciate donations of time, money and equipment such as used tack, which we clean and sell at tack sales as fund raisers. We are always in need of foster homes and help with transportation of horses in the program. Anyone with  specialized experience such as training and handling or farrier certification is greatly appreciated as well! If you have some spare time and a love of horses please give us a call and get involved any way you can!
